Helicopter Extrication (HETS)

Employers are morally and legally required to provide for timely rescue and medical aid to injured workers. In remote work environments, helicopter extrication is often the only way to provide them.

Commonly referred to as ‘HETS’, the helicopter extrication rescue system has been pioneered by Parks Canada, Military, and select Search and Rescue groups. HETS rescue systems offer many advantages over traditional land based rescue. Used where a victim is not easily accessible by vehicle, HETS allows access to patients in high angle, rugged, mountainous or remote locations. RSS HETS Rescue Technicians are highly trained and experienced, and able to provide the best medical care in the most trying of situations.
